Job Description

Together We Succeed (TWS) is an early-careers platform connecting young people with employers, recruiters and talent acquisition teams. We give employers direct access to emerging talent while helping young people become more visible and access opportunities to kickstart their careers.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Marketing Manager to work closely with the Founder to manage and grow the marketing presence of TWS.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll help plan, create and publish content across our digital channels, contribute ideas for campaigns and help communicate TWS to both young people and employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating engaging social media content, including graphics, carousels, videos and written posts
  • Publishing and scheduling content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and other relevant channels
  • Working directly with the Founder to plan marketing activity and campaigns
  • Helping develop and manage a regular content calendar
  • Promoting opportunities, platform features, candidates, employers and TWS updates
  • Creating content aimed at both young people and employers/talent acquisition professionals
  • Supporting campaigns to increase candidate registrations and employer engagement
  • Helping maintain consistent TWS branding, messaging and tone of voice
  • Identifying content ideas, trends and opportunities to increase reach and engagement
  • Reviewing basic social media and website performance to understand what content is working
  • Supporting email marketing, website content and other digital marketing activity where required
  • Bringing your own ideas and creativity to help grow the TWS brand You’ll have room to take ownership of your work while working closely with the Founder on the overall direction of TWS marketing.

Who this role is suitable for

This role is ideal for someone looking to build practical experience in marketing while taking real ownership of their work.
It would particularly suit a marketing student or graduate, aspiring marketer, content creator or junior marketing professional who wants to develop experience across social media, content creation, digital marketing and brand development.
You should be creative, reliable, comfortable producing and publishing content, have strong written communication skills and be confident bringing your own ideas.
An interest in early careers, employability, recruitment or supporting young people would also be beneficial.

What you will gain

Real-world marketing experience working on an active early-careers platform
The opportunity to create and publish real content across TWS channels
Ownership of marketing campaigns from idea through to delivery
Experience managing social media, content calendars and digital campaigns
Exposure to both B2C and B2B marketing, communicating with young people, employers and talent acquisition professionals
The chance to build a portfolio of published work you can show future employers
Direct experience working alongside the Founder and contributing to marketing decisions
Greater experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, email marketing and website content
The opportunity to develop your creativity, communication, organisation and campaign-planning skills
A professional reference based on your contribution
Greater responsibility and scope to shape the TWS brand as the platform grows

Learning and progression

The volunteer will gain practical experience across social media management, content creation, digital marketing, campaign planning, brand development and audience growth.
You’ll work directly with the Founder and have the opportunity to take ownership of real marketing activity rather than simply shadowing.
The role provides an opportunity to build a portfolio of published work, develop your marketing skills and gain experience communicating with both young people and employers.
As TWS grows, there may also be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, although no future paid employment is guaranteed.

Application notes

Please apply with your CV and, where possible, examples of content, social media accounts, designs, campaigns or other marketing work you have created.
Examples can come from employment, university, volunteering, freelance work or personal projects.
Candidates should also complete their Together We Succeed profile to the best of their ability, ensuring their experience, skills, career interests and other relevant information are up to date.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal interview to discuss their experience, interests and ideas for Together We Succeed.
